How do Kirwan's NON-STICK instruments work?
Kirwan's NON-STICK instruments conduct heat and electricity much better than standard stainless steel. The excellent thermal conductivity allows Kirwan's NON-STICK instruments to cool down much faster once the power has been cut off. This prevents tissue from continuing to "cook" after the desired level of coagulation has been reached. The superior electrical conductivity of Kirwan's NON-STICK instruments generally allows them to be used at lower power settings to achieve the same results as stainless steel instruments.
Are Kirwan products latex free?
Yes! All products and packaging manufactured by Kirwan are 100% latex free.
How many instruments are in a case, box and pack?
A case contains fifty instruments, a box contains ten, and a pack contains five.
Do you invoice by the box or by each individual instrument?
Although orders are placed by the box in some instances, invoices are issued by each instrument.
Is there a minimum for placing an order?
Yes, there is a $100 minimum for domestic purchases and a $250 minimum for international purchases.
How are Kirwan's products packaged?
Reusable instruments are packaged individually. Disposable instruments are packaged by the box, and in some instances, by the case. Disposable cranio blades and irrigation stylets are packaged by the pack.
Can orders be shipped on the same day they are placed?
Yes! All orders placed before 3 pm (EST) can ship the same day if the product is available.
What is Kirwan's procedure for freight pricing?
Freight is pre-paid and added to your invoice.
What do I need to do to return an item?
If you need to return an item, call Kirwan's customer service at 888-KIRWANS. Be sure to have your instrument item number ready for reference. A customer service representative will issue you a Return Goods Authorization number and let you know what they will need to proceed. An RGA number is needed for all returns.

Does Kirwan customize forceps?
Yes! Kirwan can manufacture any forceps per your specifications. We can customize the tips, handle style, handle angle, working length, add irrigation, add or remove stops, and most anything else you prefer.
