Kirwan Surgical Products AURA™ line of non-stick forceps offers a variety of forceps styles. As in the previous non-stick line, Kirwan uses the physics of high conductivity to achieve a non-stick effect during coagulation.  The AURA™ non-stick forceps employ a unique patented metal formulation that creates an extremely conductive pathway for the electrons.  As a result, the forceps have the ability to conduct energy and heat away from the tips faster than any previous forceps.  Since the energy and heat is rapidly removed, tissue is not coagulated onto the tips and the non-stick effect is insured.   The insulated AURA™ forceps come standard with a custom dark green insulation.   The tips of the forceps are gold plated.  The uninsulated AURA™ forceps are entirely gold plated to create a distinctive look.
